There are two modes for the Saver. Automatic and Manual.
The Manual mode just stores the samples on the same disk as your WinMod, then you don’t have to worry if the file system is corrupted. When WinMod starts it automatically looks for all “MOD” files on your hard disk. As soon as a MODE file is found, it stores all samples from it on the hard disk. An option is available to move the samples on the hard disk to another location

A: WinMod can’t play.MOD files, if sound is not started by OpenAL (OpenAL Player). So you must start it first, and than you can start WinMod.

A: WinMod can only load one.MOD file and can’t convert more than one at a time. So it allocates as much as possible. In some cases, you might exceed the memory limit of 64MB.
